Whitelisted Hosts and IP Addresses
User Host Whitelist: Allows users to whitelist specific hosts. The host name is determined by first checking if the REVDNS for the client is available. If it isn't, the HELO supplied by the remote client will be used. The addresses listed in this list will be bypassed for ALL spam tests as well as tarpitting and greylisting. This list supports the use of regular expressions if desired. Whitelisting senders by using the Allow Relay For list should no longer be done.
User IP Address Whitelist: Allows users to whitelist individual IP addresses, subnets or CIDR net blocks. The addresses listed in this list will be bypassed for ALL spam tests as well as tarpitting and greylisting.
These two lists are maintained in standard TXT files as follows:
Host Whitelist: ..\Alligate\AllowedHosts.txt
IP Address Whitelist: ..\Alligate\AllowedAddresses.txt
Both lists can be modified externally "on the fly" and will be picked up automatically by the AgSMTPSvc service.
