Licensing

Alligate requires 2 license codes to be entered in order to function correctly.

SMTP Gateway License: This field should contain your SMTP Gateway license that was issued for Alligate. Without the license, Alligate will not function. This license code never expires and should never have to be changed unless you upgrade to a higher capability gateway version.

MXRate: MXRate is our proprietary Reputation/Validation server. While the SMTP Gateway license never expires, the MXRate license must be renewed annually. The MXRate license covers subscription to the MXRate Database with hourly updates, the country code database with monthly updates, and includes all Alligate program updates.

AntiSpam: This is an optional add in that does full message scanning and provides a large number of customizable spam detection and message handling options. This is an annual subscription and covers all spam pattern file and program updates.
