Alligate SMTP Gateway License Agreement

General License Agreement for Alligate SMTP Gateway

Subject to the terms of this Agreement, Solid Oak Software, Incorporated grants a nonexclusive, non-assignable and nontransferable license to use and display the Alligate SMTP Gateway software ("Software") on any single computer or server of which the licensee is the authorized user or owner.


Copying Prohibited

Unauthorized copying of the Software, including software that has been modified, merged or included with the Software, or the written materials associated therewith is expressly forbidden.


Reverse Engineering Prohibited

Unauthorized reverse engineering of the Software, whether for educational, fair use, or other reason is expressly forbidden. For the purposes of this license the term "reverse engineering" shall apply to any and all information obtained by such methods as decompiling, decrypting, trial and error, or activity logging.



Unauthorized disclosure of Alligate SMTP Gateway operational details, hacks, work around methods, pattern file words or phrases or matching methods are expressly prohibited.


Sub Licensing

Licensee may not sub license, assign, or transfer this license or the Software. Any attempt to sub license, assign or transfer any of the rights, duties or obligations under this license is void. For purposes of this agreement sub licensing shall also be deemed to cover the unauthorized distribution, sharing, or sale of any serial number, license or key code, or other activation method.


Term of License

Alligate is licensed on an annual basis. The initial purchase cost includes the first year of subscription services. Subscription services include hourly MXRate updates, technical support, and program updates including all major and minor versions. Users that renew within 90 days of their anniversary date may renew for the normal renewal price however the anniversary date will remain the same. Users who do not renew their Alligate licenses within 90 days of expiration will be required to pay the full product price if they choose to renew at a later time.


Termination of License

Solid Oak Software, Inc. reserves the right to terminate this license at any time for any reason upon making full refund of purchase price less the prorated use charge for the period the license that has passed and any shipping and handling charges.


Trial and Demo Versions

Trial version users agree to uninstall and destroy all files included with the Software upon expiration of any trial or demo period. All other restrictions and terms of this license shall continue to apply. Temporary or demo serial numbers, license codes or other activation codes shall be destroyed upon the completion of the trial or demo period.


Limited Warranty and Remedies

The Program is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event will Solid Oak Software, Incorporated be liable to you for any damages arising out of the use of the program, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.


Copyrights and Trademarks

The term Alligate is a trademarked and copyrighted by Solid Oak Software, Incorporated. Alligate SMTP Gateway is protected by United States Copyright and Trade Secret laws.
