Alligate requires Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008 or Windows 7. For volumes exceeding 50,000 messages per day, we recommend Windows 2000, 2003, or 2008 server (any edition). Alligate can be installed on your mail server if desired, however we recommend that Alligate be installed on a dedicated computer if possible. Alligate is generally far less CPU intensive than a mail server handling similar volumes. You should plan on using a computer that has at least 50% of the power of your normal mail server.
